On the starting line of the Nascar track at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. Yes that is a Cop behind me. We were getting ready for a photoshoot and I guess they wanted to make sure we weren't going to take a "Lap" around the track.

Here are just a few more pics from our gallery. Sorry again but our scanner is on it's last leg.
Wife at last year Nopi Nationals This was last years Nopi Nationals. Last years was nothing compared to this year.
Like father like son This is my son "SLY". He is the proud owner of an R33 Calsonic racing GT-R. He may be the only kid in the United States with this car. If there is anyone else here in the U.S. with this car toy, please let me know and I will retract my statement and if you send me a pic, I will post it on my site.
It is peddle powered, the headlights flash when you push the horn button, There is a siren button that immitates you getting pulled over by the police. . . .nice touch . . . . and has all GT-R badges and actually looks like the real thing. . . . . .only smaller. This car cost me Y28500 (yen) About $270.00

This is an awesome car. It didn't start out that way though. When my friend Jeff Bolles drove up in this rusted out Toyota Surf wagon I thought "he sure wasted his money this time" and I let him know my feelings just a couple of times. I'm sure he got tired of hearing it (thanks for your patience Jeff). Anyway, this car took on many transformations, and I am proud to say I was there to see all of them up until I left Okinawa december 2000. I am currently waiting for his Bio and Spec sheet on his car. Just a little advance info. . . .he transplanted a turbo motor with a EVO front mounted intercooler and a 5spd tranny. . . . .
Do you recognize this engine? Look closely and guess. Jeff's spec sheet is in the making. The original engine was the 1SU
PEEKABOO. . . . .EVO front mounted intercooler lookin back atcha. You should see all the double and triple takes he gets when people catch a glance at his grill.
The engine is from a 1984 Toyota Carina GTTR. Its a 1.8 liter 3TGTE twin cam turbo. Tranny is the W55 5spd.
This is Jeff's story: I bought my 1985 Carina Surf Wagon in January of 1997 for $1300. The car had more rust than metal but my goal was to make it into a cruiser/low rider with a killer stereo system. I started with the stereo which consisted of two twelves powered by a JVC amp. It had no power and didn't sound very good. After more saving I had a shop build a wall unit that would house 4 twelves and 4 batteries in the back with an amp for the subs and one for the front stage. At this time I had the car lowered, it looked great slammed but with all the added weight, the car was slow as hell but a good cruiser. About a year later I sent the car in for bodywork and paint. ( it was needed now especially after I burnt some paint off my roof when I was applying the sound mat with a torch). The paint shop was instructed to remove all the trim, rear wiper, antenna and door handles so I would have a very smooth and custom look. We also added a custom chin spoiler from a 180SX rear spoiler. This gave me an extra custom look that no one else had. After a month of non-stop work I now had the custom cruiser I always wanted. The custom cruiser was great and all but it was still very slow due to all the added weight. I started toying with the idea of getting more horsepower from the stock 1SU 1.8 liter carburated engine but found out that it would cost more money than I wanted to spend to get any decent power out of it. About the same time I came acrossed a guy who had a junk 1984 Toyota Carina GTTR in his yard and was willing to part with it if I hauled it away. This is where the story gets good and the soon to be speed freak is born. The Carina had a 1.8 liter twin cam, twin spark turbo charged engine mated with a strong W55 5spd tranny. The car hasn't ran in over a year and with a new battery and fresh gas it started with the first turn of the key. The transplant consisted of engine, tranny, fuel lines, tranny crossmember, fuel tank, wiring harness and ECU. It took about three staight weeks to complete the transplant and almost everything matched up perfectly. The mods I found already on the engine was plugs, wires, performance clutch, and lightened flywheel. In stock form the 1984 turbo engine produces 160hp. Since the engine swap I installed new performance plugs, wires, accel coils, F-Con, 2.5" exhaust, new coil over shocks. The single most impressive installed item is an EVO front mounted intercooler. As soon as my 720 injectors arrive I will be installing my TO4E AR50 Turbo upgrade with custom manifold and racing wastegate that will push my horsepower up to 350+. I managed to find a spare engine that I plan to build to push excess of 450hp.
As for the sound system there are 2 JL Audio Twelves powered by a Zapco AG1000 amp. JL Audio mids and tweeters for the front powered by a Zapco AG350 amp. RCA cables are Monster Cable 401XLN. Crossover/EQ is Audio Control EQX and the main power is running through Wired 1/0 gauge cable.
