On the starting line of the Nascar track at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. Yes that is a Cop behind me. We were getting ready for a photoshoot and I guess they wanted to make sure we weren't going to take a "Lap" around the track.

Skyline Spec Sheet
1971 KGC10 Welcome to Wayne's Performance on line, where one of Japan's most rarest car can be seen. This KGC10 has been left in nearly stock form as far as interior/exterior is concerned. When this car was offered to me it was as close to being a KPGC10 as you can get without actually owning one. The previous owner spent years getting this car cloned a GTR. The price I paid for this car wouldn't allow me to keep the S20 engine, tranny, rearend, data plate, front/rear seats and steering wheel. To this day if I came up with $21,000. I can have these items. Do I need these items? No. I am very happy the way my car is. I don't know what the future holds for this car but I'll be happy just the same.
My EVO III EVOLUTION III
This is the EVO III I had on Okinawa Japan.

It was pretty bad ass. I was lucky, I was one of the first Americans on Okinawa to own a Lancer EVO III GSR. I first learned of the Lancer the hard way. I had a 1990 Skyline GT-R with all the normal bolt-ons, HKS Super air flow air filter system, Super Drager stainless exhaust system from down pipe complete out the back, HKS super blow off valve, EVC III boost controller NGK platinum plugs, ect. . . .Then one night behind our base (camp Kinser) at the local "drag strip", I lined up against a four door sedan, I'm thinking, what the hell is this guy doing in his wife's "go to the grocery store car", I shouldn't even waste my gas. So, I'm thinking, blow his doors off, come back and line up against another skyline and have some real cometition. Boy was I wrong. After the "third" rev we took off. In my side vision I could see he was right beside me, then I heard the hiss of his blow off valve, then the horrendous sound of his external wastegate. then by the time we crossed the finnish line he was nearly. . .I said nearly, not completely, gotta tell this story with some dignity, in other words he nearly got me by a car length. On the return I flashed my lights for him to pull over. He did! He started bowing to show that he was sorry for beating me. Japanese are funny like that. If they feel they hurt you or embarrassed you in any way they are very fast to say sorry. After looking over his car I saw the the badge Lancer Evolution II. I still was not sure of what I was looking at. He opened is hood and I saw the same bolt on performance parts I had. Almost exactly. Then I noticed he was missing something I had. Two extra cylinders. I was a 2.6 and he was a 2.0, then I noticed that he was a single turbo and I was twin. Needless to say after a few days learning more about the car I sold my GT-R and bought a EVO III. My car completly stock with only a turbo timer and a factory option roll cage, it ran high 12's. It didn't take much to get it to run high 10's.

Me and Tony taking a break
This is Tony and me taking a break. We went on a Northern tour with other Old School Skylines and Fairlady Z's. Yes he is the same guy on my photo page with the Evo II. I am not saying he followed in my foot steps, only he realized the problems that he would encounter trying to bring back his Evo or a newer Skyline. We used to sit for hours studying the rules and regulations on vehicle importation trying to find loop holes and other gray areas in our favor. One thing you should know. "NHTSA" has their S**T wired and together. They fill any possible "gray" areas and possible "loop holes" from all who try to scam on them, fraud them, and lie to them. The more "experienced" they get the tighter they get. Believe me, they've seen and heard it all. If you want to import a vehicle and don't see it on the "list", don't beat around the bush. Be straight up with them and get the right scoop. If you try to bring back your EVO III as a Mirage and then they find out its really the Evo, you may have just wasted a WHOLE lot of money. Anyway, Tony Barela of Yuma Arizona (look him up) sold the Evo and bought a four door Skyline. His is on the right.
